  • Michael P Hood , DVM

Dr. Hood started his relationship with Greenfield Animal Hospital as a client over 20 years ago, helping to bring in his family pets for their veterinary care.  In 1984 he had his first job at Greenfield as a kennel attendant. Cleaning the kennels, feeding and caring for the animals in the hospital is how he got his start.  From 1984 to 1986 while completing high school, he continued to work at Greenfield Animal Hospital.  With some mentoring by Dr Byron, he went to Michigan State University, knowing veterinary medicine is what he wanted to do.  After 3 years of undergraduate work and four years of veterinary school he returned to Greenfield Animal Hospital to work as a veterinarian.  Since starting his career in veterinary medicine in 1993, Dr. Hood has come to realize he could not have chosen a better career for himself.

Dr Hood has been married to his wife Lynn since 1995, also a MSU graduate.  He has two cats, Mars and Putty.  He enjoys watching and playing basketball and golf in his spare time.  He is very passionate about all MSU sports.

Dr Hood enjoys veterinary medicine so much that he truly looks forward to going to work everyday and looks forward to being a veterinarian for a long time.  You can reach Dr. Hood via e-mail at drhood@greenfieldanimalhospital.com

Grooming

  • Susan Cunningham

Hi!, I'm Susan Cunningham and I have been grooming dogs at Greenfield Animal Hospital since 1989.  One of the things I enjoy most about working at Greenfield is the mutual respect between the doctors and the rest of the staff.  I graduated from highschool in 1980 and received a certificate at the American School of Dog Grooming in 1988.  At home I have 10 boy cats and two dogs; Sherman, a two year old shepherd mix who came from the Humane Society and Cannoli, a 12 year old golden retriever mix who was a stray found by one of our clients.
